【评论】诗意的慰籍

  多年来,周海峰的作品一直带有一种忧郁气质。但是,在他近期的“刺儿”系列中,画面中的物象关系却出现了歧义性,我们难以判断究竟是否属于一种宗教情绪地弥散或是戏剧性地表达。我不知道周海峰所说的“刺儿”是否与的意思一致。总之,看了他近期的画作真有一种被“刺”的感觉。无疑,这种奇特感受我认为是一种认同和情感触动。

  在近期的作品中,周海峰发展了他独特的隐喻方式:以一种猝不及防的方式将不相干的物体组合在一起,使视觉线索与戏剧性的画面情境联系起来,形成了刺点。在《无言》这件作品中,一根带刺的荆条突然地、直接地放在打开并相互叠加的书上,举动让人匪夷所思,但看似强硬、荒唐的组合却引人深思:在平静中暗示着某种苦难与担当。画面技巧处理是他一贯的薄涂。极具触感的笔触把我们融入一种朴素的、静穆的情绪中去,仿佛远处教堂传出的钟声,带着希望地遥想。

  我们应当注意到,周海峰对于寻常事物的敏感与迷恋,这种倾向在他的许多画中均有体现。《黑羽》描绘的是嘴衔荆棘的乌鸦。乌鸦黑而闪光,步态端庄,口衔荆棘专注而执着,使人联想到苦修的僧侣。我们必须承认周海峰的睿智,他对日常生活细节发现、剥离与提炼使其作品具有一种迷人的气质。对于周海峰而言鸟、树、马、刺、书、鱼、塔等元素,艺术家从未停止过表达的兴趣。

  另外,周海峰的作品具有巫术般宗教仪式地表达。如:《法器》、《遗患》、《带刺的三角形》等。从中我们可以看到宿命论的存在和末世主义情绪。但我并不认为他是个消极的人,他是一位萨满主义者,是一位用预言疗伤的人。

  总之,周海峰一直在寻找;寻找一种被日常生活所遮蔽的风景。正如他曾经的画一样:手执烛火冉冉前行,这荧荧微光最终成为他寂静旅途中的诗意慰藉。

  Poetic Solace

  A narration about Zhou Haifeng's painting

  Over the years, Zhou Haifeng's works are always with a kind of melancholy. However, in his recent "thorn" series, the relationships among screen images seem ambiguous. it is difficult to determine whether it belongs to a dispersed religious sentiment or dramatic expression. I do not know whether the "thorn" by Zhou Haifeng is identical with the "prick point" by Roland Barthes. In short, looking at his recent paintings, one really has a feeling of being "stung". No doubt, such a strange feeling is a kind of recognition and emotional resonance.

  In recent works, Zhou Haifeng developed his unique way of metaphor: combining unrelated objects in an unprepared way and linking the visual clues with the dramatic pictures, thus forming the prick point. In his work named "silent", a Vitex with thorns is directly laid on a pile of open books, an absurd combination that is quite thought-provoking. It implies some kind of suffering and accountability in a peaceful way. Thin coating is his usual technique to images. Highly tactile strokes bring us into a simple, serene mood, as if the distant church bells, with hope and reminiscence.

  We should note that Zhou Haifeng is sensitive to and is fascinated with the mundane. Such tendencies are reflected in many of his paintings. "Black Feather" depicted a black crow with a Vitex in mouth. The crow is black and bright, dignified, dedicated and persistent, like an ascetic monk. We must recognize the wisdom of Zhou Haifeng, he discovers the details of daily life, stripping and refining them into works of charming temperament. Birds, trees, horses, thorns, books, fish, towers and are all elements to Zhou Haifeng, the artist never ceases to express his interests.

  In addition, Zhou Haifeng's works express themselves with witchcraft-like religious rituals, such as "Ritual Implements ", "Pitfall" and "Barbed Triangle". We can see the sentiment of Fatalism and Eschatology. But I do not think he is a pessimist, he is a shaman advocates, healing his wounds with prophecy.

  In short, Zhou Haifeng has been hunting, hunting for a shaded landscape by the everyday life. As he once painted that he is walking ahead with candles in hand, the shimmer light is the final poetic solace in his silent journey.
